Pouring tips

How you can enjoy your Augustijn to the fullest:

- Always preserve your bottle of Augustijn upright, so that the yeast remains on the bottom of the bottle. The ideal pouring temperature is 8°C.

- The shape of the glass is of extreme importance: the spherical Augustijn-glass has been developed to maintain the foam head and the aroma after pouring. Beware the glass is cleansed and don’t put it in the dishwasher.

- Pour your Augustijn slow and steady. Also make sure the bottle doesn’t touch the glass. Tilt the glass and gently remove the bottle from the glass during pouring.

- The unique secondary fermentation in the bottle ensures a remaining evolution in taste. If you keep 0,5 to 1 cm of the beer in the bottle, then the yeast remains in the bottle and your Augustijn will be nicely bright. If you pour the whole content, then you’ll taste a more bitter and hazy beer. The choice is yours!
